Two-Phase Orthodontics

Some problems with malocclusion (poor alignment of the jaw and/or teeth) are present early in life. When younger children exhibit these issues, prompt intervention can prevent the kinds of complications that require advanced care later in life.

Davies Orthodontics offers two-phase orthodontics when needed. This combines early treatment with further corrective work at a later date. Taking this approach can stop early developmental problems that can seriously affect your child’s appearance and oral health.

Phase One Orthodontics

By treating your child as their teeth and oral structures are still growing, we can help stop developmental problems from worsening that demand complex orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Davies will closely review your child’s development and assess their future risks. Starting with this first consultation, we take our role in their care seriously, and we can make sure they feel comfortable with any treatment that we recommend.

Phase Two Orthodontics

A successful early treatment limits the effects of malocclusion, which can make the second phase of treatment easier for your child. This phase will begin after all permanent teeth are in place. At this point, we rely on traditional metal braces or aligners to make sure their teeth are in alignment.
